The Basic Handle

I met Pat Wyse at a HorseWyse community clinic in Fort Myers, FL. He's introduced me to the Basic Handle System. This system has made sense in every way that I got "hooked" on it and wanted to know more and more and more.... Started
by Monte Foreman, the Basic Handle System has been improved and perfected by Pat Wyse during the last 50 years of training and teaching people in how to really TRAIN horses. Pat Wyse is one of the busiest riding instructors in the business, working with over 600 students and horses annually. (...for more info please visit his website at www.horsewyse.com )

Based upon my own experience and Pat's teaching, there is a gap between the roundpen and the showring that horse people tend to overlook. Today's horse business has a multitude of successful trainers and instructors - teaching everything one needs to know from imprinting a foal to roundpen work or how to be successful in the showring. But, most trainers focus on the particular specialty of the horse and rider, not necessarily on a smooth transition from one step to the next. Furthermore the absolute necessary basics to MAKE that transition are mostly overlooked or not been intensified enough for the horse and rider to understand the next step.

The Basic Handle is a progressive 10-step skill system that teaches people what they need to know after they leave the roundpen and before they head for the showring - and more. It helps a rider develop the lasting skills for a safe, productive, ongoing training system. This is a system which will work in any application of the use of the horse; whether it might be for ranch work, recreational riding, rodeo competition or any showring application.
